The First Thanksgiving of Ze Gégé...

...aux Etats Unis! On avait fêté Thanksgiving l'année dernière bien sûr. Mais au Rwanda, avec des amis. Et donc, c'est pas pareil. Et puis là bas, les dindes étaient rares, énormes et super chères, alors on avait pris du poulet! Et même ça on en avait  mangé pendant des jours et des jours alors...
Cette année, Brian et moi avions prévu de rester à Washington et d'inviter du monde. Et puis finalement, ça nous a pris, on a loué une voiture et nous partons pour Detroit en fin de journée, pour fêter ça demain, avec sa famille.
Souhaitez bonne chance à Brian; comme je ne conduis pas, c'est donc lui qui va se taper tout le trajet, de nuit en plus - qui tombe à 16heures ici, pire qu'à Kigali! Enfin, dans son malheur, il a de la chance, j'ai pas eu le temps de m'occuper de la playlist pour le voyage. Il a eu chaud...
Nous serons donc de retour dimanche, avec plein de photos.
En attendant, si vous le fêtez..."Happy Thanksgiving!".

...In the US! We celebrated Thanksgiving last year, of course...but in Rwanda, with friends and even though the food and the company were great..it's not the same. And over there, turkeys were so hard to find, so huge and so expensive that we Brian cooked chicken instead... and had to eat the leftovers for days and days after that...
This year, we had planned to stay in Washington and invite people over but finally rented a car to go to Detroit. We're leaving in a few hours, as soon as Brian's back from school, so we'll be with his family in time for tomorrow's big feast.
You can wish Brian luck; I don't drive so he's going have to drive the whole trip! By night! He's lucky I didn't have time to make a playlist for the trip, otherwise it would have been 9 hours of me singing to try and keep him awake!
